Forrester Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week – Purdue Boilermakers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. For his role in leading Purdue to the Hootie Intercollegiate title on Tuesday, Jenson Forrester was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
 
The sophomore from Wolverhampton, England, earned his first career Big Ten weekly honor.
 
Forrester finished tied for third with an 11-under par 205 (68-66-71), setting both a career-low finish and career-low, 54-hole score. Forrester led the tournament after 36 holes, before finishing two shots off the pace.
 
Forrester finished the tournament with 14 birdies, three bogeys and 37 pars.
 
For the season, Forrester is second on the team in stroke average (71.63) while owning three top-10 finishes and 11 rounds of par or better. Forrester is second on the team in birdies with 78.
 
The Boilermakers will travel to Naples, Florida, in two weeks for the Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines Country Club.
