OOLTEWAH, Tenn. — With a pair of top-five finishes in its last two events, the Wisconsin women’s golf team competes this weekend at the Chattanooga Classic on The Honors Course from March 28-30.
THE TOURNAMENT:
Hosted by Chattanooga, the 6th Chattanooga Classic will take place over three days and 54 holes with each school playing 18 holes each day. Play begins Friday at 7:30 a.m. CT.
THE FIELD:
Two top-15 programs in No. 10 North Carolina and No. 13 Virginia, as well as No. 22 Duke will take part, as will host Chattanooga, Florida, Georgia, Campbell and defending champion Michigan, among others.
Wisconsin’s lineup is made up of Kate Brody, Alexia Siehl, Carly Carter, Chloe Chan and Vanessa Ho. Izzi Stricker will compete as an individual.
THE COURSE:
The Honors Course is a Pete Dye design and has been considered one of the best private courses in the country almost from the first tee shot in 1983. It’s in suburban Ooltewah, Tenn., and has hosted two NCAA Men’s Golf Championships (1996, 2010), 1991 U.S. Amateur, 1994 Curtis Cup as well as a slew of USGA, SGA & TGA amateur events.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Badgers finished fifth out of 14 teams and had four top-30 finishers at the MountainView Collegiate in Tuscon, Arizona, finishing behind four ranked programs and ahead of the rest of the unranked field. UW carded +30 for the tournament as a team. Vanessa Ho (+5) tied for 11th to lead the way for the Badgers, with Chloe Chan (+7) tied for 19th and Carly Carter (+8) tied for 23rd.
