PHOENIX – Sun Devil Women’s Golf completed the second round of the PING/ASU Invitational
No. 9 Arizona State is hosting the 52nd edition of the iconic tournament at Papago Golf Club and continues to dominate the event. Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye‘s team has jumped out to an incredible 15-stroke lead through two rounds (-28/548) following the first 36 holes. For the second consecutive day, the Sun Devils delivered one of the best rounds vs par in program history. In the past 48 hours, ASU has posted two of their best eight 18-hole team scores vs par ever.

The Sun Devils continue to lead two-time defending PING/ASU champions No. 12 Northwestern, who sit in second place after the first round. Arizona State has totaled 44 birdies in two rounds, 12 more than any other team in the field. The Maroon and Gold are on pace to finish with one of the best 54-hole team scores vs par in program history.

Leading the way individually is junior Paula Schulz-Hanssen, who fired a 67 (-5), which was the best score of any golfer today. Thanks to her bogey-free effort, Schulz-Hanssen (-8/136) catapulted into a tie for first. She is in firm contention for the PING/ASU Invitational individual championship.
