Lady Vols Place Fourth At Clemson Invitational After Shooting 19-Under


SUNSET, S.C. – The Tennessee women’s golf team posted its second consecutive fourth-place finish as three Lady Vols placed inside the top 25 at the Clemson Invitational.
 
Tennessee shot 19-under overall after concluding the event with a 3-under round. The 54-hole total marks the second-best score in program history.
 
UT’s highest finisher for the tournament was Kyra Van Kan. The true freshman posted her second consecutive top 10 showing after shooting 7-under overall. Van Kan’s best round of the tournament came on day three when she carded a 3-under 69.
 
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana placed inside the top 15 for the 14th time in her career after shooting 6-under overall with three rounds of par or better. The junior capped off the Clemson Invitational with an even-par 72 to secure the finish.
 
Sophomore Martina Lopez-Lanchares logged her second consecutive top 25 finish after shooting a three-round total of 5-under. Lopez-Lanchares’ best round came on Friday when she notched a career-low 65.
 
Sofie Engeseth closed out the Clemson Invitational in red numbers after clutching out a 1-under 71 on Sunday to tie for 33rd.
 
Senior Bailey Davis shot a 74 in the final round to tie for 72nd.
 
UP NEXT: The Lady Vols return home for their last regular season event and are set to host the inaugural Tennessee Spring Challenge on April 7.
