Huskies Tied For Ninth After Two Rounds At Silverado


NAPA, Calif. – The Washington Women’s golf team sits tied for ninth at +19 after day two at Silverado Resort & Spa for the Chevron Silverado Showdown.

Vivian Lu continued her strong play at the Chevron Silverado Showdown today, carding one-under par in the second round to move into a tie for sixth place at two-under for the tournament. Lu tallied five birdies on the day, including four on the back nine, to post her second consecutive under-par round.

Athena Ni followed with a steady round of 74, keeping her in a tie for 30th overall at four-over. Amber Li and Carmen Lim each posted rounds of 77. Amber Li sits tied for 51st at eight-over par, and Carmen Lim with a nine-over to place her tied for 54th. Wendy Tang rounded out the Huskies’ lineup with a 78 on the day, placing her tied for 58th, 10-over in the tournament.

Washington posted a team score of 299 in round two, adding to its opening-round 296. No team in the field is under par, with the leaderboard remaining tightly packed with Southern California in the lead heading into Wednesday’s final round.
