Women's Golf Continues Play in the SEC Championship


University of Missouri women’s golf competed in the second round of the SEC Championship Tuesday, finishing the day in 14th.

Senior Ffion Tynan led the Tigers on the day with a two-over 72, improving on her first round score by three strokes. Tynan recorded her second-straight round with an eagle on the par-5 seventh, paving the way for a three-under front-nine to end the round in 54th overall.

Freshman Alexandra Berglund posted a three-over 73 to remain in the top-50 at 49th. Melanie Walker and Fleur van Beek both finished the day with a six-over 76 respectively. Walker leads the team overall with a +4 tally through two rounds (68-76) to place 34th through 36 holes.

The Tigers sit in 14th of 16 teams at +25, ahead of No. 21 Vanderbilt and No. 54 Georgia. No. 4 South Carolina is in the lead at -20.

Day three is set for Wednesday morning at 8:10 a.m. CT.
