Ffion Tynan of the University of Missouri women’s golf is set to continue her career at the NCAA Championship, earning a bid to the Norman regional.
Tynan is the first Tiger to receive an individual invite since Jessica Yuen in 2021 and will be competing alongside 12 teams and five other individuals. During the 2024-25 campaign, Tynan has finished in the top 15 in eight of 10 tournaments, leading Mizzou with a career-best 73.53 stroke average.
The squads making the trip to Norman include No. 1 Stanford, No. 12 Northwestern, No. 13 North Carolina, No. 24 Michigan State, No. 36 Oklahoma, No. 37 Baylor, Oregon State, Tulsa, Denver, Furman and Southern Miss. The individuals are No. 73 Riana Mission (San Francisco), No. 145 Grace Jin (Sam Houston), Cynthia Zhang (Boston College), Amelia Guo (Sam Houston) and Zoe Pinillos (Augusta).
The tournament begins Monday, May 5 with three days of stroke play at Jimmie Austin OU GC where only the top individual not on an advancing team qualifies to the NCAA Championship.
