Nicklaus Design announced that it is currently engaged with more than 60 projects in 19 countries, which is the highest number of active projects in the company’s 50-year history.
In the first quarter of 2025, the company has already signed on with Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam — a 27-hole golf course located one hour northeast of Hanoi; Donghae in Korea, the fourth Jack Nicklaus Heritage design and the first in South Korea; and IBIS Tradition Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida — an 18-hole renovation led by master designer Chris Cochran.
“Our goal at Nicklaus Design is to bring golf to new places and new audiences,” said Paul Stringer, president of Nicklaus Design. “Given all the projects and locations we are working on at the moment and the new ones that are in the pipeline, we couldn’t be more excited about the future.”
Additionally, many of Nicklaus Design’s courses have been chosen to host golf tournaments across the globe, incluing The LPGA’s Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods in Woodlands, Texas this month, and The LIV Tour’s first-ever tournament in South Korea will be held at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in May.
The company has also made great strides on the technology/golf entertainment side of the industry. It was one of three design firms chosen to help bring Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL to life. It also leveraged its portfolio of short courses to create the layout used by 3’s, a par-3 golf entertainment concept.
“It is amazing to consider the positive impact and influence Nicklaus Design has on growing the game globally, and we look forward to continuing to do this through traditional design projects, as well as more of the high profile ‘off-course’ projects that we’ve been able to deliver,” said Philip Cotton, CEO of Nicklaus Companies.
