Jakubcik Finishes Tenth At Big 12 Championship

In Arizona men’s golf’s first appearance in the Big 12 Championship they finished in 12th place at 53-over par. Filip Jakubcik picks up a tenth place finish and the highest Wildcat on the leaderboard. Oklahoma State wins the title at 3-under par and 12 shots better than second place.

Zach Pollo shot a final round 74 and finished the tournament in tied for 29th. The rest of the Cats were not able to eclipse that score today with three players right at 74. Matej Baca, Griffin Rhoads and Johnny Walker all ended the tournament outside of the top 50.

Arizona was able to finish in the top five for par five scoring average and eagles made. But, the main stat that sticks out is the second most double bogeys which tell much of the story on their result this year.

The Wildcats will be moving on past this performance as they gear up for the NCAA Regionals, May 12th-14th.
