Illini Battle Tough Conditions in Second Round at NCAA Columbus Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Fighting Illini women’s golf battled rainy and windy conditions today at The Ohio State University Golf Course, posting a second-round team score of 311 (+23) at the NCAA Columbus Regional.

The Orange and Blue will enter tomorrow’s final round in 10th place, eight strokes off of a top five spot on the team leaderboard.

Yurang Li will enter the third round tied for 10th after recording a 77 (+5).

Lexanne Halama is tied for 25th after firing a 76 (+4), the lowest scored by an Illinois golfer today.

Anna Ritter and Brielle Mapanao are both tied for 47th after rounds of 81 (+9) and 80 (+8), respectively.

Victoria Zheng is tied for 53rd after a third-round 78 (+6).

Arkansas holds the team lead at 4-over (580) and the Kansas’ Lyla Louderbaugh leads individually at 5-under (139).

The Fighting Illini will be back in action tomorrow morning, teeing off on No. 10, starting at 7:55 a.m. CT.
