Sam Renner Moves Up Three Spots at NCAA Regional


BREMERTON, Wash. (May 13, 2025) – Washington State junior Sam Renner posted a 1-over, 73, during the second round of play at the 2025 NCAA Bremerton Regional Championships, played Tuesday at the par-72, 7,114-yard Olympic Course at Gold Mountain.
 
Renner had it going early as he registered three birdies on the first seven holes to get to 1-under for the tournament. A bogey on 8 followed by a par on 9 put him at 2-under for the round as he moved to the back 9 holes. The All-West Coast Conference player started the back side with seven-straight pars before a triple bogey on the par-4, 17th, spoiled his round. A par on 18 finished his round a 1-over, 73, for the day.
 
Renner is tied for 29th with a group of six golfers at 3-over, 147, for the tournament, up three spots over Monday’s first round.
 
Wednesday marks the third and final round at the NCAA Bremerton Regional Championships. Renner is set to tee off at 10:12 a.m. off the front side.
