Arizona Men's Golf Season Ends At NCAA Amherst Regional

Arizona Men’s Golf ends their season at the NCAA Amherst Regional after missing the cut by one shot. The Wildcats battled throughout the entire tournament but ended in sixth place after a final round of 6-over par. Filip Jakubcik ended in a tie for fourth and missed individually qualifying for the NCAA Championship by one stroke too.

Zach Pollo finished inside the top ten after carding a 69 with five birdies. Senior, Johnny Walker shot even par after four birdies in a row on his back nine. Matej Baca and senior, Griffin Rhoads both shot 7-over par and finished outside the top 50.

Filip Jakubcik led the field in pars after paring 16 of the 18 holes in the final round. Zach Pollo had the third most birdies in the 54 holes. Unfortunately, it was the bogeys that hurt the Cats and ultimately ended their season.

Thank you to our seniors Johnny Walker, Griffin Rhoads and Jackson Norwich for an amazing season and collegiate career. Bear Down!
