Lady Vols Place 13th at NCAA Championships


CARLSBAD, Calif. – The Tennessee women’s golf team concluded its season at the NCAA Championships with a 13th-place finish. 

Tennessee’s 2024-25 season featured eight top-five team finishes and a quarterfinal appearance at the SEC Championships. Additionally, UT compiled an overall record of 109-62-4 and eclipsed the 100 head-to-head wins mark for the first time since 2019. 

The Lady Vols’ 13th-place showing at the 2025 NCAA Championships marks the best finish since the 2015 season. 

As a team, the Big Orange shot 21-over throughout four rounds and finished ahead of nine top-25 teams. 

In her final collegiate tournament, Bailey Davis was Tennessee’s highest finisher after shooting even-par in the final round to tie for 36th in the 161-player field after shooting 5-over for the event. Her first-round 67 was the second-lowest round by a Lady Vol at the NCAA Championships. 

Kyra Van Kan and Manassanan Chotikabhukkana both tied for 44th after each shooting 7-over through 72 holes. 

Van Kan, who is a freshman, produced four counting rounds for UT, including a 1-under 71 in the third round. 

Chotikabhukkana also notched four contributing scores for Tennessee. The junior’s best round was on Sunday when she notched a 2-under 70. 

Sophomore Sofie Engeseth shot 12-over for the event to tie for 63rd. Engeseth finished the NCAA Championships on a high note, recording an even-par 72. 

Martina Lopez-Lanchares tied for 67th after shooting 13-over overall. The junior’s lowest round of the tournament occurred. on Sunday when she posted a clutch 2-under 70.
