Nebraska’s Rudy Sautron claimed PING All-Midwest Region honors when the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its honorees across six regions for the 2024-25 season.
Sautron, a sophomore from Reunion Island, France, set the Nebraska single-season stroke average record with his 71.70 average over 30 rounds in his first year as a Husker in 2024-25. He opened the year by capturing the Gopher Invitational individual title with a Big Red sophomore record 208 (-5), while adding Big Ten Golfer-of-the-Week honors (Sept. 12, 2024).
Later in the fall, Sautron matched the NU tournament record with another 208 (-8) at the Steelwood Collegiate, which included a school single-round record 63 (-9).
He closed the season with four top-10 finishes among his six top-25 showings over 11 tournaments.
Sautron came to Nebraska after earning a spot on the GCAA NCAA Division II All-Freshman Team in 2024. He was also a member of the PING All-South Central Region team at Cameron University in Oklahoma.
