SEA ISLAND, Ga.  — Vanderbilt women’s golf junior Lynn Lim captured the Sea Island Women’s Amateur title by two strokes on Saturday. Lim finished at 4-under-par for the 54-hole championship on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club.

Lim conquered the par-70 Seaside Course with rounds of 66, 68 and 72 over the weekend. She was one of only two players to produce multiple rounds under par during the championship.

In her 4-under opening round, Lim carded six birdies to stand tied for third after day one. She climbed to second after round two with a 2-under 68 on the card. Her second round featured an eagle on the par-5 15th.

On Saturday, Lim closed with four-straight pars to break a tie with Oklahoma State’s Grace Kilcrease to earn the title. The victory is Lim’s first of the season.

The Sea Island Women’s Amateur features 78 of the nation’s best amateur golfers. Lim was one of four Commodores competing at Sea Island. Sophomore Sara Im fired a 3-under 67 in Saturday’s final round to finish tied for seventh.
