NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf sophomore Ava Merrill added a second All-America honor on Wednesday as Golfweek tabbed the Commodore to its honorable mention team.
Merrill was previously selected to the WGCA All-America Honorable Mention Team. The second All-America recognition makes Merrill just the 11th Dore to receive the honor from both Golfweek and the WGCA.
Merrill tied for 14th at the NCAA National Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. The finish marked the best individual performance by a Dore since Marina Alex also tied for 14th in 2012.
The sophomore led the Dores with a 72.09 stroke average over 31 rounds this season. She finished 17 rounds at or below par with six top 20 finishes individually.
Merrill also added second team All-SEC honors this season. She is the first Commodore to earn all three honors since Celina Sattelkau in 2023.
