SEATTLE – On Wednesday, Washington head men’s golf coach Alan Murray announced an addition to the Husky squad for the 2025-26 season with the signing of Jacob Goode to a Big Ten Athletic Agreement.
“We are really excited to add Jacob,” Murray said. “He is a really good golfer and is extremely passionate about the game. He has an in depth knowledge of his own game and a really clear idea of where he wants to go. He will provide a calm presence to our team this coming year and will be a leader for us. He is very efficient and we expect that he will be a big contributor on and off the course as our younger guys start to mature. He is a very bright guy, has a wonderful attitude and will represent our program in the best ways.”
Goode, a native of San Francisco, will play his final year of eligibility for the Huskies before graduating from the UW with a degree in Political Science and Government.
The George Washington High School product has competed in US Open local qualifying each of the past two years, finishing tied for seventh at Shadow Hills Country Club in 2025 after placing tied for 19th in 2024 at The Club at Ruby Hill.
Goode claimed the 2024 Silverado Amateur Championship by five strokes, carving out a big lead with first and second round scores of four-under and six-under, respectively, before cruising to the title with a one-over 73.
