Spirit Golf energizes Fairways Golf Club with new programs

In June, Spirit Golf Management announced it would oversee golf operations, course maintenance, player development programming, sales and marketing, and food and beverage services at Fairways Golf Club in Warrington, Pennsylvania.

Designed by William Gordon in 1965, Fairways is a public, par-65 course that spans 4,503 yards. The course features irrigated bentgrass tees and water hazards on 11 holes. Amenities include a putting green, chipping green, pro shop, outdoor patio, and the 1863 Tavern — a restaurant and bar that hosts live music and entertainment.

“Their strong foundation in Bucks County offers tremendous opportunity and we look forward to elevating their overall business operation and further enhancing the club as a premier facility in the region,” said Mike Attara, president of Spirit Golf Management.

As part of the new management agreement, Ryan Skeirski has been named the club’s first head golf professional. He will lead player development programming, including the launch of a new PGA Jr. League team — Bucks County’s first in-house league.

“To complement junior camps and clinics at all our facilities, we’re proud to now operate an in-house PGA Jr. League division throughout Bucks County,” Attara said. “There is an overwhelming support and excitement around the program from our families, and with Fairways Golf Club being new to our portfolio, they are appreciative of the opportunity to join.”

Recent updates at the club include the implementation of Club Caddie, a point-of-sale system that supports tee sheet scheduling, customer relationship management, inventory management and marketing. The club also added Noteefy golf course technology to improve tee-time management and the customer experience. Additional hires have brought in new junior and adult golf instructors to support programming alongside Skeirski.

The pro shop has been revamped with new merchandise and a personalized club-fitting service. Spirit Golf has also introduced an outdoor summer music series and themed community events such as movie nights, family golf and dinner outings, nine-and-dines, and beer and whiskey tastings.

Looking ahead, the club plans a bunker renovation project and will add a free-standing modular building to house a golf simulator for off-season use.
