Trip To St Andrews, Elite Competition Highlight Slate
BERKELEY – Elite competition and a road trip of a lifetime highlights the 2025-26 California women’s golf schedule that was announced Tuesday.
The Golden Bears, fresh off their 24th NCAA regional appearances in the past 25 years, open the season at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Minneapolis – an event with a loaded field that includes four teams that advanced to match play of last season’s NCAA Championships and seven that finished the 2024-25 campaign ranked in the national top 10 by SCOREBOARD.
In October, the Bears will join Cal’s men’s golf team to participate in the St Andrews Links Collegiate in Scotland. In the third edition of the unique tournament, the Bears will be joined by Michigan State, Princeton and the University of St Andrews for a three-day event that will be televised by the Golf Channel. Stroke play will take place on Oct. 13-14 on the Jubilee Course with the final day of match play on the Old Course.
Cal will also play the annual Big Match against Stanford on Sept. 25 in Menlo Park.
The Nanea Invitational in Kona Kailua, Hawai’I, closes out the fall portion of the season and features seven teams that ended last year ranked in the top 25.
The Bears will play in five tournaments in the spring – all in California – before traveling to Wilmington, North Carolina, for the 2026 ACC Championship at Porters Neck Country Club. The conference had two teams make match play of the NCAA Championships last season and five finish the year ranked in the top 15.
