The season begins at the Cougar Classic (Sept. 8-9) with the 54th Gators Invitational March 6-8.
The season begins at the Cougar Classic (Sept. 8-9) at Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston S.C. A two-time winner of the event, the Gators finished 3rd overall in back-to-back appearances in 2019 and 2021 with a 4th place outing last season. Florida then is back in action next week and will defend its team title at Inverness Intercollegiate (Sept. 15-16) in Toledo, Ohio at Inverness Club.
UF’s final two fall tournaments will be played in October with the Prairie Dunes Women’s Collegiate (Oct. 6-7) at Prairies Dunes Country Club and then the fall finale at The Ally (Oct. 20-22) at Old Waverly Golf Club where Florida has won back-to-back team titles.
The second half of the season features the Gators returning to its third tournament title they have won with the Seabest Intercollegiate (Jan. 26-27) at the San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. followed by a trip out west to the Therese Hession Regional Challenge (Feb. 1-3) at Palos Verdes Golf Club in California.
A trip in the ‘Sunshine State” at a highly ranked field in the Moon Golf Invitational (Feb. 15-17) marks the halfway point of the regular season as Florida turns around to host the 54th Gators Invitational March 6-8 at Mark Bostick Golf Course. Last year, the Gators swept the team and individual titles for one of their five team wins of the season behind rising sophomore Jessica Guiser’s first collegiate victory at 4-under.
Six UF golfers finished in top-23 led by Guiser’s first collegiate victory at 4-under 206. The last time Florida swept both the team and individual titles at the home tournament was in 2021. The win by Guiser marks the second Florida freshman to win the Gators Invitational in program history joining Riko Higashio (1996), becoming the 11th UF golfer to earn medalist honors at the home tournament and just fourth underclassmen.
The regular season finale takes place at the Clemson Invitational (March 27-29) at The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset, S.C.
Postseason action starts with the SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. from April 17-21 as Florida finished runner-up last season.
