PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Joline Truong from Rutgers women’s golf qualified for the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open, held August 20-24 at Mississaugua Golf & Country Club in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Truong, a Mississauga native, is the first Scarlet Knight to compete in an LPGA event since Leigha Devine participated in the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open.
The opening round of the CPKC Women’s Open begins Thursday at 7 a.m. ET, with Truong set to tee off at 9:05 a.m. off Hole 11 during the opening round. Golf Channel will provide live television coverage for the first two rounds, with streaming available on NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and LPGA Live. The final two rounds will be televised on CBS, with streaming options available on CBS Sports.
“We are thrilled that Joline has earned this opportunity to compete in the Canadian Women’s Open,” said head coach Kari Williams. “She has worked hard this summer on her game and has played well, and we are proud she has the chance to represent Rutgers and her hometown at the highest level.”

Truong qualified for the CPKC Women’s Open after she secured one of the final four spots at Monday’s Final Qualifier at Credit Valley Golf and Country Club in Mississauga. Truong was one of three players to emerge from a six-player tie via a playoff after she fired of an even par 71.
A Mississauga native, Truong delivered two top five finishes, three top 10 results and five top 25 results in 13 tournaments as a freshman last season for the Scarlet Knights. This will be her first appearance in the CPKC Women’s Open.
“I feel so proud to be able to represent my hometown and my home club this week,” Truong said. “This will be my first LPGA event, and I’m super excited to be competing with the best players in the world.”
