Landscapes Unlimited has been named as part of a development, design and construction team tasked with creating Kettle Forge, a new championship golf course located in Ashippun, Wisconsin.
The other members of the team include Landscapes Golf Management, sister company to Landscapes Unlimited; architect firm Jackson Kahn Design, made up of students of Tom Fazio; architect Scott Hoffman, who also learned from Fazio and created Lost Rail Golf Club near Omaha, Neb.; and Steve Stricker, a 12-time PGA Tour and 18-time PGA Tour Champions winner who will serve as a design consultant.
The course routing will cover 7,600 yards, making it one of the longest courses in the state upon completion. The dominant feature of the course will be a massive hill that offers 20-mile panoramic views of the landscape and will serve as the location for the clubhouse and guest cottages. Future amenities will include fine dining, a wellness spa, a cigar and bourbon vault, business den, bike and walking trails and fishing and pheasant hunting on a partner game farm.
“This is pure, unadulterated golf without tennis and swimming,” said Bill Kubly, chairman of Landscapes Unlimited. “Based on our work at Lost Rail outside Omaha, Kettle Forge is likely to reach a full membership before the course opens.”
Construction is scheduled to begin this fall with an anticipated opening in Fall 2027.
