South Carolina one of six top-25 teams competing this week at UNC’s Finley Golf Club
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 7 South Carolina is set to compete in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational this weekend with the opening round beginning Friday morning. The Gamecocks will be paired with No. 16 Auburn and No. 20 Kentucky for the opening 18 holes at Finley Golf Club.
Clippd will have live scoring of the event here. Junior transfer Alicia Olsson, fresh off her first career top-20 finish as a Gamecock at the Stephens Cup, will be the first player off for Carolina at 9:54 a.m. (ET) on hole one.
Olsson is joined in the lineup this week by sophomore All-American standout Eila Galitsky, junior Vairana Heck, junior Maylis Lamoure and freshman Molly McLean, who will be making her collegiate debut.
Galitsky (No. 7), Heck (No. 37) and Olsson (No. 68) all rank in the top-75 of the first Clippd Player Rankings of the season, which came out Wednesday evening.
Carolina is one of six teams ranked in the top-25 of the initial Clippd Team Rankings competing this week in Chapel Hill. Top ranked Wake Forest is the highest rated team in the field after posting a pair of wins so far this fall.
