After Scottie Scheffler’s victory at the Masters, the next men’s major championship on the 2024 schedule is the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
Valhalla last hosted the PGA Championship in 2014, when Rory McIlroy outlasted Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler down the stretch for his fourth and latest major championship win.
Scheffler has won four of his last five events, and is the betting favorite headed into this week’s major.
The reigning champion, however, is LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka, who beat a loaded field of the world’s best players at Oak Hill in Rochester, New York, in 2023. It was his fifth major championship victory and third PGA Championship title.
Koepka is coming off a victory at the most recent LIV Golf event in Singapore earlier this month.
As if Scheffler and Koepka weren’t enough, Rory McIlroy is also coming off a dominating Sunday performance and win at the Wells Fargo Championship. It’s safe to say many of the favorites are playing great golf leading into the second major of the season.
