After completing one of the best seasons in program history, senior Jack Lundin of the University of Missouri men’s golf team was honored among the nation’s best on Wednesday, earning a spot on the Division I PING All-America Second Team.
Lundin is the first Tiger – and just second overall – to earn first or second-team All-America accolades since Stan Utley also received second-team accolades in 1983 and 1984. Overall, he becomes the program’s 11th All-American – who have received a combined 13 honors – and the first since current PGA Tour member Hayden Buckley was named to the third team in 2018.
Ranked as the nation’s No. 22 golfer to finish the 2023-24 campaign, Lundin posted a 69.69 stroke average in his final collegiate campaign. He posted a 1.5 stroke improvement from the 2022-23 season, while also posting the lowest average by a Tiger since Buckley in 2017-18 (69.5).
A first-team All-SEC honoree and five-time SEC Golfer of the Week, Lundin won two individual titles as a senior, earning medalist honors at the Hootie at Bulls Bay and Tiger Intercollegiate in back-to-back tournaments during the spring season. Overall, he placed in the top five in seven of his 12 tournaments, while leading Mizzou in scoring nine times in 2023-24.
Lundin also earned a spot on Team United States for the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup, set to be held at Lahinch, Ireland, from July 5-7.
Lundin finished his three-year career at Mizzou with a 70.73 stroke average. He helped the Tigers advance to the NCAA Championship in all three of his seasons, marking the first time MU qualified in three-consecutive campaigns in its history.
