Meyers and Sheehan Named GCAA All-America Scholars

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Two Penn State men’s golf student-athletes have been named Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars, as Jimmy Meyers and Patrick Sheehan collected the honor announced by the GCAA Thursday.
Meyers and Sheehan were both named GCAA All-America Scholars for the third-straight year. To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar honors, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior that participates in at least 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds, has a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I and maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Meyers collects his third-straight GCAA All-America Scholar honor after completing his Penn State career in 2023-24 and earning a master’s degree this spring. He owned a 73.70 stroke average and collected three top-10 finishes throughout the 2023-24 season.
Sheehan picked up his third-straight GCAA All-America Scholar accolade after leading the team with a 72.42 stroke average during the 2023-24 season. Sheehan earned a master’s degree this spring from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business.
