What does the gold-medalist in women’s golf receive at Paris Olympics?

The gold medal is priceless, of course. But it’s natural to wonder what other perks come with being an Olympic champion.

For starters, an exemption into the next LPGA major, the AIG Women’s British Open at St. Andrews later this month as well as the 2025 Chevron Championship, 2025 U.S. Women’s Open, 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA and 2025 Amundi Evian Championship.

She will also receive one point toward the LPGA Hall of Fame, which is a big deal for two-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko, who needs only one more point to get into the Hall.

While this will not count as an official LPGA victory, all players in the field receive Rolex Rankings points.

On the podium, players will receive a long, slender box, which goes to all the medal winners in 2024. The box contains a commemorative poster.

On the money side, while there is no official prize money, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee pays winning American athletes $37,500 for gold medals.
