McMyler Set for LPGA Qualifying Series

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Former Duke women’s golf standout Emma McMyler is set to open action at the LPGA Qualifying Series in Rancho Mirage, California, from Aug. 22-25 at the Mission Hills Country Club.

McMyler, who received a Master of Management Studies (MMS) degree this past May from the Duke Fuqua School of Business, will be one of 327 golfers to see action in the pre-qualifying field.  The tournament is a 72-hole, stroke-play format with a cut to the top 125 and ties after 54 holes.  The top 95 and ties after the fourth round will advance to the Qualifying Stage of the LPGA Q-Series in October at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida.

Last year at Duke, McMyler turned in an impressive season as she totaled a team-best 72.03 stroke average, while earning Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Honorable Mention All-America, All-ACC and WGCA All-American Scholar accolades.  She collected one top five, three top-10 and five top-20 finishes on the year.

Over her collegiate career at Duke and Xavier, McMyler was a four-time All-Conference selection, three-time BIG EAST Golfer of the Year, 2022 BIG EAST Individual Champion, four-time WGCA All-American Scholar, among other honors.  She collected six wins, 13 top five finishes, 22 top-10 and 29 top-20 placements.

McMyler will look to join the professional ranks, which includes Laetitia Beck (LPGA), Ana Belac (Epson), Jaravee Boonchant (LPGA), Celine Boutier (LPGA), Virginia Elena Carta (LET), Anne Chen (Epson), Lindy Duncan (LPGA), Gina Kim (LPGA), Brittany Lang (LPGA), Yu Liu (LPGA), Leona Maguire (LPGA), Erica Shepherd (Epson) and Miranda Wang (Epson).
