MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin men’s golf tees off a new season this weekend competing at the 2024 Visit Knoxville Collegiate at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tennessee, running Friday through Sunday.
Here are five things to know before the Badgers tee off:
1. THE TOURNAMENT: For the second consecutive season, the Badgers will compete at the second annual Visit Knoxville Collegiate. This year’s tournament is slated to run Sept. 6-8 at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tennessee.
2. THE FIELD: Teams competing along with Wisconsin include Cincinnati, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, LSU, Mississippi State, North Florida, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UNC Charlotte, USF and Virginia Tech.
Wisconsin’s lineup is made up of Jacob Beckman, Spencer Turtz, Evan Myers, James Boustead and Charles Erlandson.
3. THE COURSE: The Tennessee National Golf Club will play as a Par-70 at a total of 7,280 yards. Hole two and Hole 14 will be converted to Par 4s. Hole two will play from 483 yards and Hole 14 will play from 494 yards.

5. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin finished the 2024 Big Ten Championships tied for seventh at 64-over par. The Badgers shot a 904 (290-303-311) at Scioto Country Club’s challenging course. Jacob Beckman led the Badgers individually, finishing in 15th place at 12-over par after shooting a 222 (70-74-78).
