Cabot announces strategic investment in Lofoten Links in Norway

The Cabot Collection announced that it has made a strategic investment into Lofoten Links, a golf resort built into the remote seaside landscape of the Lofoten Islands in Norway. The picturesque property is exactly what Cabot looks for, and the company would like to add it to the portfolio at some point in the future.

“Our team at Cabot made a meaningful investment in Lofoten Links and anticipates growing it over the coming year,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO of Cabot. “We see an opportunity in time to add Lofoten Links to our portfolio, but right now we are thrilled to be involved and build on the amazing foundation that [General Manager] Frode Hov and his team have established. We look forward to helping round out the offerings and guest experience at Lofoten Links.”

The investment into Lofoten Links helps extend Cabot’s presence into Northern Europe. The 18-hole course sits above the Arctic Circle and has the distinction of being the northernmost links-style golf course in the world. It’s known for a challenging yet rewarding design that allows for a unique playing experience: under the midnight sun in the summertime or below the Aurora Borealis in the fall. The property itself features a variety of Nordic lodges that complement the scenery and an onsite restaurant. Available activities include horseback riding, hiking and kayaking.
