Women's Golf Heads to Kansas for the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational


The Missouri women’s golf team continues its season with play in the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Lawrence, Kansas on Monday, October 7.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

The 2024 Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational is a two-day tournament, playing 36 holes on Monday, with 18 holes of play on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes. Both days will begin with 8 to 9:20 a.m. tee times.

The 2024 field consists of teams from 12 different schools, including Mizzou. The Tigers will compete alongside, Kansas, Eastern Michigan, Long Beach State, Delaware, Fresno State, Cincinnati, Kent State, Central Arkansas, Northern Colorado, San Francisco and Grand Canyon. 

The par-72 course at Lawrence Country Club measures 6,085 yards in length.

LAST TIME OUT

Mizzou continues its season following an ninth-place finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in a field of 10 teams, including a top-15 finish from senior Ffion Tynan.

SEASON LEADERS

The Tigers enter this tournament led by sophomore Fleur van Beek, who began the season with two top-10 finishes, and senior Ffion Tynan after posting her first ever top-5 finish in the Johnie Imes Invitational, who each carry a stroke average of 74.75 respectively.
