Cavaliers in Third After First Round at Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. — The No. 12 Virginia women’s golf team is in third place after round one at the Stanford Intercollegiate after shooting 1-under 283, 10 strokes behind the leaders Stanford at 11-under 273. Megan Propeck led the team shooting an opening round 3-under 68 and is tied for second place.

Propeck’s first 18 featured an eagle on the seventh hole as she was one of three Cavaliers to shoot par or better in the first round of competition including Jaclyn LaHa who posted 1-under 70, and Amanda Sambach who scored even par-71.

The second round will tee off Saturday (Oct. 19) at 10:30 a.m. eastern time off hole one. The final round of competition will be played on Sunday (Oct. 20).
