Tournament Tidbits: Badgers compete at San Diego State Classic


SAN DIEGO — The Wisconsin women’s golf team opens its spring season on Monday, Feb. 10 when it tees it up at the 2025 San Diego State Classic, hosted by San Diego State University at The Heights Golf Club.

THE TOURNAMENT: 

The San Diego State Classic is slated to begin Monday, Feb. 10, and run through Tuesday, Feb. 10. There will be 36 holes played on Monday and 18 holes played Tuesday. Tee times will begin with a shotgun start on each day at 10 a.m. (CT).

THE FIELD: 

Teams competing along with Wisconsin include BYU, Colorado, Denver, Fresno State, Georgia, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State, Stanford, UNLV and Western Michigan.

Wisconsin’s lineup is made up of (1) Carly Carter (2) Chloe Chan (3) Alexia Siehl (4) Izzi Stricker and (5) Vanessa Ho

THE COURSE: 

The tournament will be played at The Heights Golf Club in San Diego.

LAST TIME OUT: 

Wisconsin returns to action after last competing at The Ally 2024 in October. The Badgers finished 16th at the event hosted by Mississippi State.

 

The highlight of the Badgers’ Fall season was a second-place finish at the 2024 Diane Thomason Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa. At the invitational, Carly Carter and Chloe Chan led the Badgers, with each posting top five finishes.
