The program’s first postseason tournament was the same event last season, which the Scarlet Knights were victorious in.
The National Golf Invitational – the NIT of college golf – is set for its third year of play. Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Ariz. has served as the host site for all three years.
“We’re thrilled to be heading back to Arizona for Golfweek’s National Golf Invitational,” head coach Kari Williams said. “Having this postseason opportunity is excellent for our young team to continue practicing and competing together. We’re proud to be the defending champions and I’m confident this team can continue their strong play out in the desert.”
The event is set to take place in Maricopa, Ariz. at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club from May 8-11.
“Playing in the NGI again is really exciting for us,” Lorena Rossettin said. “As a team, we’re feeling good after our play at the end of the spring with our win at home and best finish ever at Big Tens. We had a great experience competing in Arizona last year and this is a unique chance for us to continue our season and compete for the title again.”
