Colin Salema Wins Carolinas Open by Six Strokes – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –– Colin Salema (Matthews, N.C./Providence) won the 101st Carolinas Open and delivered a strong performance. Salema closed out the victory with a final round 67 to claim the title at 13-under-par (200).

Salema shot an opening round 65 that was highlighted by his first career hole-in-one on the 219-yard par-3 11th hole. He used an eight iron.

The rising sophomore shot a second round 68, before finishing the tournament with a 67, which included an eagle on the par-5 fourth hole. Salema led the tournament from start to finish.

Salema had recently finished tied for 10th at the Carolinas Amateur – finishing five-under-par (283).
