Jordan Spieth What’s In The Bag?
Let’s take a look at the clubs the American puts in his bag each week. The Texan has used Titleist equipment for his entire professional career and in his amateur days.
Jordan Spieth What’s In The Bag?
Driver
Titleist TSi3
Currently he has the Titleist TSi3 (opens in new tab) in the bag after having previously used the TS2 and 915 models. The TSi3 is one of very few drivers to get five stars from us in a review. The compact look will suit the eye of the better player, but many more abilities have the potential to benefit from the more varied adjustability and extra forgiveness on offer. Our testing, after being custom fitted, showed it was longer and straighter than the TS equivalent, producing longer but more playable distance.
At the start of the 2022 calendar year, Spieth spoke to PGATour.com about his gear and any changes he made recently. He said; “I haven’t. I cracked my driver at The PLAYERS. I’m somebody (with) really low spin, and as drivers continue to be more and more low spin, I’ve messed around with a couple different loft changes and settings. I’m trying to get a (Titleist TSi3) driver head to produce like the one that I had for the last year, which was really, really solid. I’m looking to get enough spin without overspinning. So that’s been the challenge right now.”
Fairway
Titleist TS2
He then has a Titleist TS2 three-wood which is fitted with a Fujikura shaft much like his driver. Spieth switched into the model back in 2018 and continues to use the older model which is a trend we have seen a lot in the professional game. The fairway wood slot in the bag is arguably the most difficult part of the bag to get right because it has to correctly bridge the gap between the driver and the irons, so it comes as no surprise that many players don’t change when they find a model they trust.
