MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women’s golf team opens its fall season Sunday at the Wolverine Invitational, hosted by Michigan in Ann Arbor. Five UW golfers will tee off in a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., playing 36 holes Sunday, before Monday’s final 18-hole round. The four-of-five lowest scores across three rounds are counted.
The Badgers pit themselves up against three Big Ten foes, among other major programs, including the Wolverines, Rutgers and Purdue.

1. FAMILIAR FACES
UW returns their two top finishers from their sixth-place finish at the 2024-25 Big Ten Championships in Kate Brody and Alexia Siehl.
Brody, who returns to her home state this weekend, caught fire at the end of last spring. She finished as the runner-up at Big Ten Championships, going -4 on the card. Brody’s 212-strokes were the lowest three-round score of her career by three.
Siehl comes into the weekend for her 17th start in just three seasons. The senior finished 25th at Big Tens, using a season-best 220 strokes to go +4. She typically uses strong fall performances to propel a spring season charge, and last year was no different, placing 19th during the opening Badger Invitational at +9. Overall, Siehl tallied two top-20 performances in the fall with another 33rd-place finish to boot.
2. GONE PORTALING
Despite their experience at the top, the Badgers will see three players make their UW debut this weekend – one being Maryland transfer Tammy Wu. A Taiwan native, Wu broke out in her junior campaign with the ‘Terps, starting in six events. Her best performance came at the Spartan Suncoast Classic, where Wu finished in 13th.
3. FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
Wisconsin’s second newcomer to the lineup is true sophomore Lauren Sammon, who competed in one event individually last season – the Badger Invitational. She finished in 49th at University Ridge, going +18. A decorated amateur, Sammon posted top-five finishes at the Southern California Women’s Amateur Championship (5th) and the AJGA Colorado Junior during the lead up to her UW career.
4. WELCOME TO THE SHOW
