Cardinals in Sixth After Second Round of Blessings Collegiate


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Louisville women’s golf team is sitting in sixth place after the second round of the Blessings Collegiate Tuesday afternoon from the Blessings Golf Club. The Cardinals posted a 19-over-par 307 in the second round and have three players in the Top 20 heading into the final round.

Bailey Burkett continues to lead the Cardinals after the second round of action on Tuesday. She was 2-over-par 74 on Tuesday and had a team-best four birdies, her second-straight round with four birdies. She is tied for ninth overall heading into the final round on Wednesday.

Veronika Exposito tallied a 4-over-par 76 for the second-straight round on Tuesday. She had three birdies over her final nine holes and is tied for 16th overall. Madison Moman is just behind Exposito on the leaderboard as she is tied for 18th overall. Moman was 6-over-par 78 in the second round on Tuesday.

Millie Cottrell is tied for 26th overall after a 6-over-par 78 in the second round. Thienna Huynh is tied for 36th overall after she also shot a 6-over-par 78 on Tuesday.

The Cardinals will be back out on the course on Wednesday morning for the final round of the tournament. Fans can follow the live stats here or on our social media channels.
