Illinois Finishes Tied for 11th at Spartan Suncoast

SARASOTA, Fla. — Illinois women’s golf finished tied for 11^th place at the 2026 Spartan Suncoast Invitational, after carding a team total of 918 (+54) across the event. The Illini earned a 298 (+10) in Monday’s round, its best of the three rounds.

Victoria Zheng led the way for the Illini, finishing in 11^th place individually, tallying a 220 (+4), with round scores of 73 (+1), 74 (+2), and 73 (+1). This is Zheng’s first time leading the Illini this season.

Anna Ritter carded a 71 (-1) in the final round, the lone round under par for any Illini, to jump three spots on the leaderboard, finishing tied for 29^th. 

Erica Lee carded scores of 76 (+4), 83 (+11), and 77 (+5) to tie for 63^rd, with Brielle Mapanao finished just behind Lee in a tie for 65^th. Mapanao notched her best round on Monday, earning scores of 79 (+7), 81 (+9), and 77 (+5).

 Alexis Myers ended the event tied for 68th, also earning her best round on Monday, with scores of 80 (+8), 82 (+10), and 77 (+5).

The Orange and Blue return to action on Monday, Feb. 23, when play commences at the Chevron Collegiate in Humble, Texas.
