Women’s Golf wraps up day one of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. –  Sun Devil Women’s Golf concluded day one of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in 17th place on the leaderboard, posting a 21-over par (305) at Long Cove Club.

Sophomore Isla McDonald-O’Brien paced Arizona State with a three-over par (74), recording two birdies during the opening round.

Day two of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Presented by Principal Financial and PXG will air on GOLF Channel and Peacock from 12:30-3:30 p.m. MST.

The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate features arguably the toughest field of any collegiate golf tournament on the 2025-26 schedule. No. 21 Arizona State is one of 11 Top-25 teams in the latest Clipp’d rankings heading to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Arizona State boasts one of the deepest and most talented rosters in the country. Sophomore Isla McDonald-O’Brien earns the top spot to begin the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate for the Sun Devils. 

Senior Beth Coulter will be playing in the No. 2 spot. Senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen will be teeing off as the No. 3 golfer.  Freshman Fai Rubrong and Kate Dillon will be playing as the No. 4 and No. 5 golfer, respectively.

Tee times
Arizona State will begin day two of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Tuesday morning at 9:10 a.m. MST, with a Sun Devil starting their round every 10 minutes on the first hole. ASU is paired with No. 15 Ole Miss and No. 18 South Carolina.
