HILTON HEAD, S.C. –  Sun Devil Women’s Golf finished 17th at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, posting a 38-over team total. Arizona State closed strong with a two-under par (279) performance on day three at Long Cove Club.

Freshman Fai Rubrong delivered a bogey-free, four-under 67 in the final round. The Thailand native went two-under on both nines to finish the tournament at 10-over (223).

Senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen led the way once again, carding a three-under 68 with a team-high six birdies. Her tournament total of seven-over (220) marked the best individual score for the Sun Devils across all three rounds.

Arizona State heads to Hawai’i next for the Dr. Donnis Invitational, March 17-18.

The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate features arguably the toughest field of any collegiate golf tournament on the 2025-26 schedule. No. 21 Arizona State is one of 11 Top-25 teams in the latest Clipp’d rankings heading to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

History at Darius Rucker
Long Cove Club, in partnership with Darius Rucker and South Carolina, will again play host on Hilton Head Island for the 14th time. This is the ninth time Arizona State has appeared, competing in each of the past three editions. 

In 2024, Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye‘s team was crowned champions. Three Sun Devils finished in the top 25 of the individual race, led by Grace Summerhays. Summerhays and Patience Rhodes had the best rounds of any Sun Devil throughout the three days, each recording a 68 (-3). Summerhays finished seventh in the rankings, with Rhodes and Beth Coulter not far behind her, sitting in a tie for 12th. 

Patience is needed with one starter out
The Sun Devils will be without 2025 second-team All-American Patience Rhodes until at least April due to a leg injury suffered over the holiday break. The junior from England has posted nine top-10 finishes and finished in the top 15 at the 2025 NCAA Championships and competed at the 2024 Curtis Cup and the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
