EVANSTON, Ill. — Kelly Sim has been named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week after helping Northwestern claim the title at the Conference’s Match Play Championships this week.
- Went 3-0 on the weekend to help the Wildcats claim the Inaugural Big Ten Match Play Championship title
- Defeated Ohio State’s Alexis Phadungmartvorakul in the semifinals (1UP through 14), before posting a 2&1 victory against Purdue’s Danielle du Toit in the championship match
- The lone Wildcat to win all three of her head-to-head matches, finishing the event with six birdies and 28 pars
- The two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree collects her third career Golfer of the Week honor and her first of the season
