COLUMBIA, Mo. – First-year head coach Caroline Westrup and the University of Missouri women’s golf program announced the 2022-23 competition schedule on Thursday.
The Club at Old Hawthorne and Mizzou will host the 15th annual Johnie Imes Invitational on Sept. 26-28 when the Tigers will open the fall season. Also on the calendar is The Ally on Oct. 17-18 (West Point, Miss. // host: Mississippi State), Jim West Challenge on Oct. 23-24 (San Marcos, Texas // host: Texas State) and Battle at the Beach on Oct. 28-30 (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico // host: TCU).
The spring season begins with FAU’s Paradise Invitational on Feb. 6-7 (Boca Raton, Fla.) and continues with the Westbrook Invitational on Feb. 26-27 (Peoria, Ariz. // host: Wisconsin), Mountain View Collegiate (Tucson, Ariz. // hosts: Mizzou and Kansas State) on March 17-19 and North Texas’ The Bruzzy on April 1-2.
For the 10th-straight season, the SEC Championships will be held at the Greystone Golf and Country Club’s Legacy Course (Birmingham, Ala.). The 2023 event will be held April 11-16 and will feature both stroke and match play for the fifth time.
In June, Westrup was introduced as the Tigers’ new head coach after a successful stint as an assistant coach at Georgia in 2021-22. She spent nine seasons competing as a professional and started her coaching career at IMG Academy. In July, standout alumna Michelle Parrish was named assistant coach.
