The Florida women’s golf concludes the fall portion of the 2022-23 schedule out west at the Stanford Collegiate.
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Florida is set for its third appearance at the Stanford Intercollegiate with the last outing in 2019 for a T5 finish. In round two of the year, the Gators shot the program for low team score with a 274 (-10).
IN THE RANKINGS
UF is ranked by No. 16 in Golfstat, Golfweek and the WGCA Poll. Individually, Maisie Filler is No. 32 (Golfweek) and No. 33 (Golfstat) while Annabell Fuller is No. 38 in both.
LAST TIME OUT
Annabell Fuller recorded her second team best finish of the season and third straight top-15 finish at T12 at the Windy City Classic. She bounced back after 3-over on the front with a clean back nine and two birdies to post a 73 (+1). The third round marked her lowest of the tournament.
Right behind Fuller was Maisie Filler in T24. The duo has finished one and two in the Gators’ three fall tournaments and all inside the top-25.
A SEASON AGO
Last season, the Gators started the fall off with four top-3 finishes, including a runner-up to finish to end the season that featured Maisie Filler writing her name int he record book. Filler posted all three rounds in the 60’s – 69, 66 and 68. After setting her career low in round two, she tied second all-time in program history for low individual tournament at 203 (-13). The last Gator to record the mark was Camila Hedberg in 2012 at the Cougar Classic. Filler was one stroke away from the program record (202) set by current pro Sam Wagner in 2016.
The Gators started spring on a strong note with a program record 29-under to win the team title at the FAU Paradise Invitational….
