Cal Places 16th In Tournament
STANFORD – The Cal women’s golf team wrapped up play in the Stanford Intercollegiate in 16th place on Sunday.
The Bears had their best round of the tournament, shooting 9-over as a team and finishing 31-over for the weekend. Only three of the 19 teams in the field went under par.
Junior Mika Jin was Cal’s top individual finisher, placing in a tie for 34th in the 100-player field at 4-over par.
Sophomore Jieming Yang had the Bears’ best final round Sunday at even-par. She finished the tournament in a tie for 43rd at 6-over par.
Cal finishes off the fall season next week when it competes in the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i.
