Long Cove Club Course Overview

The field in South Carolina was comparable to the NCAA Championships as it included six of the nation’s Top-10 teams in the Golfstat rankings and nine of the Top-15, and 15 of the 18 schools on the leaderboard were ranked in the Top-32.

Nguyen, the 2022 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, has elevated her game as a sophomore and has yet to finish outside the Top-31 in seven events this season. Her 1-under 70 in the second round of the Rucker was Northwestern’s best individual score of the week on the punishing Long Cove Club course

Jieni Li, Irene Kim and Kelly Sim were the ‘Cats top performers in Wednesday’s final round, signing even-par 71 scorecards, which put both Li and Kim in the Top-30.

Northwestern will not get a few weeks of rest before heading to Phoenix for the PING/ASU Invitational on March 24. The Wildcats have found great success in their last few trips to the desert for the event, especially Sim, who won the title in 2021 and finshed a team-best T5 last year.
