Women’s Golf Opens Play at The Bruzzy


The Missouri women’s golf team sits in 12th place after one day of action at The Bruzzy on Saturday.

The Tigers carded a team score of 601 during the first 36 holes of action, finishing day one in 12th place of 15 schools. Mizzou shot a 304 in the first round before bettering their score by seven shots in the second round with a 297.

Freshmen Jade Zamora and Kate Bibby lead MU with a 149 through 36 holes. Bibby posted a team-best 72 in the first round before firing a 77 in the second round. Zamora, meanwhile, posted a 76 in the first 18 holes before responding with a 73 in the second 18.

Sophia Yoemans is third on MU with a 152, including a team-best 72 in the second round.

The third and final round is set for Sunday morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
