The Chevron Championship 2023 Live Stream
The first women’s Major of the year takes place in Texas, The Chevron Championship. After being played at Mission Hills in California since the tournament’s inception in 1972, this year it moves to Texas and the The Club at Carlton Woods in Houston. That means the much-loved tradition of players jumping into Poppie’s Pond at the end of the tournament is no more.
One aspect that will be familiar is the quality of the field, with most of the world’s top 50 in action this week. Defending champion is Jennifer Kupcho is looking to win her second Major title and there are a whole host of stars trying to deny her of that, such as Nelly and Jessica Korda, world number one Lydia Ko and Jin Young Ko.
Other notable names in the field include World No.4 Minjee Lee, World No.5 Atthaya Thitiku, and World No.6 Lexi Thompson, whose sole Major victory to date came in this tournament in 2014. Brooke Henderson is surely another who will fancy her chances of victory. and a player who has been in excellent form of late is Georgia Hall.
