Endicott, Davis Claim SEC Postseason Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mississippi State freshman Garrett Endicott earned a pair of honors from the SEC coaches, the conference office announced Wednesday. Endicott was named Second Team All-SEC and selected to the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Endicott is the second Bulldog in program history to receive the league’s all-freshman honors. During the 2022-23 season, he was named the SEC Freshman of the Week twice, joining teammate Ford Clegg as the only Bulldogs in program history to receive the honor multiple times in one season.

In his first year of collegiate golf, the San Antonio, Texas, native was one of six SEC freshmen with a stroke average below 71.00. His 70.90 average led MSU, and he shot the shot the most rounds of par or better on the team (20).

Endicott finished as the runner-up at the SEC Fall Preview in just his second career tournament as a Bulldog. His back-to-back rounds of 64 helped him match the school record with a 54-hole total of 12-under 198, which led to his first SEC weekly honor. He also earned the weekly recognition after shooting 10-under 206 at the Mossy Oak Collegiate for his third of four top-10 finishes this year.

Additionally, Harrison Davis has been named to the SEC Community Service team for the second consecutive year.

Davis has volunteered at Sudduth Elementary, a local elementary school in the Starkville area, where he reads to students during their morning class time.  He has also been heavily involved with MSU’s Student-Athlete Development program, hosting networking nights for fellow athletes and completing mock interviews.

The Fort Payne, Alabama, native fired a career-low 209 (7-under) to open the season at the Frederica Cup for his second career top-20 finish.

Endicott, Davis and the No. 18 Bulldogs will be the No. 3 seed at the Morgan Hill Regional in the NCAA Tournament on May 15-17.
