DURHAM – Five members of the Duke women’s golf team have received Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar accolades following the 2022-23 campaign. Senior’s Megan Furtney and Erica Shepherd, junior Phoebe Brinker, sophomore Rylie Heflin and freshman Andie Smith were honored.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics as student-athletes must hold a minimum of a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50.
Both Furtney and Shepherd received honors for the fourth straight year, while Brinker earned the distinction for the third consecutive season and Heflin for the second year in a row.
Duke has received three or more selections in each of the last eight seasons. All six Blue Devils from the 2022-23 campaign were also recently tabbed to the ACC Honor Roll as well.
